Belleview Heights Estates - With approximately 4,500 people, Belleview ranks as the second largest city in Marion County, behind Ocala. Built around scenic Lake Lillian, it is the site of the annual Founder’s Day Festival. A recently built high school is proof that Belleview and surround areas continue to grow. Currently, this subdivision has 1,375 homes, and 2,611 vacant lots.

Florida Highlands - Located in Dunnellon, with a population of 1,746 people, this subdivision has 1.16 acre parcels that can accommodate site-built homes or mobile/manufactured homes. There are a total of 2,216 lots, 775 homes.

Kingsland Country Estates - Tucked in the heart of the “Sun Valley” is, this family friendly subdivision has 3,177 total lots and currently there are 1,427 homes. This popular subdivision is close to the newest elementary school, public library, and minutes to I-75, and the state road 200 shopping and restaurant area, as well as medical care. Homes recently sold were in the $79,900 - $165,000 range. Local families as well as families from all over are still seeking homes in this desirable area.

Marion Oaks - Unlike much of Marion County where communities are clustered around the city of Ocala, Marion Oaks is a self-sufficient enclave in the southwest corner of the county. This subdivision boasts 28,135 total lots, with 6,481 homes. There are plenty of lots available for sale to build on. Marion Oaks has its own churches, community centers, and shopping.

Ocala Ridge - Close to I-75 on the west side of Ocala, this subdivision has 1,651 total lots with a combination of zoning and land uses. Lots include multi family, single family, and mobile home use. There are approximately 469 existing homes, mobile homes and multifamily units. This family friendly neighborhood is affordable and close to Ocala, and the local airport.

Ocala Waterway - Also located in the heart of “Sun Valley”, this desirable subdivision boasts ½ acre lots and is close to I-75, and the SR 200 corridor of shopping and restaurants, schools, public library. Of the total 1,558 lots in Ocala Waterway, there are currently 874 homes. Homes have been selling for between $97,00 - $232,000.

Orange Blossom Hills - This subdivision is quickly becoming the “less expensive alternative” to building in the Villages. It has close to 3,000 total lots, with less than half of the subdivision built and 1,346 existing homes. It is in Summerfield, the southernmost area of Marion County and continues to grow. It is close to the National Forest, hiking trails, horseback-riding trails, and many parks. As is typical of all of Marion County, it is located just minutes from the interstate, 2 hours from either coast, minutes from the well-known Villages retirement community, and is enjoying steady growth, both in the commercial and residential areas. Orange Blossom Hills is a planned community with home sites for mobile homes, site-built homes and commercial. Recent home sales have been from $18,000 for mobile homes to $195,000 for site built homes. Residential vacant lots are currently listed for sale for $4,500 - $69,900.

Rainbow Park - Situated near Rainbow River and the Rainbow State Park, this community has 5,966 total lots, with 899 homes. In Rainbow Park, you can site build your home, or build mobile/manufactured. Close to Dunnellon, Ocala, shopping, restaurants – everything you need!

Rainbow Acres - Situated by two beautiful rivers, the historic community of Dunnellon lies between the plush thoroughbred horse farms of Ocala, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. With its carefully preserved Old Florida character and spirit of hospitality, its spectacular rivers, springs, vegetation and wildlife - all only 15 miles from the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico - Dunnellon is the perfect gem in Florida's natural paradise. And this is where Rainbow Acres subdivision is located! Like the name implies, these lots are each approximately an acre and there are 1,364 total, only 296 homes – a prime area to build in! Recent home sales in Rainbow Acres from $74,000 - $118,000.

Rainbow Springs - The neighborhood is a virtual paradise and unique among Florida destinations. The essence of Rainbow Springs is the careful blending of surrounding nature with quality homes. Theirs is a residential country club community of attractive and stylish single family homes and detached villas. Their pool and cabana are the perfect place to enjoy their world famous climate or relax at their private riverside park. They have golfing, tennis, various clubs and water sports. Rainbow Springs boasts homes selling in the $125,000 – $210,000 price range. There are 3,295 lots in Rainbow Springs, 2,281 existing homes.

Rainbow Lakes Estates - Located not too far from Ocala in Dunnellon, FL, it is bordered on both sides by beautiful Florida Rivers and only 15 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Dunnellon is home to Rainbow Springs a first magnitude springs, and also Rainbow Springs State Park. In addition to the springs, there are many lakes. In Rainbow Lakes Estates there are 3 lakes. Rainbow Lakes Estates has almost 11,000 lots total, with 1,553 homes.

Rolling Hills - This country like subdivision is tucked between Ocala and Dunnellon just off State Road 40 and runs all the way south to County Road 484. It is convenient to the interstate and not too far of a drive to the fulf, or charming downtown Dunnellon. Folks are attracted to the 1+acre wooded lots. There are almost 4,000 home sites, and currently there are over 840 homes. Recent home sales have ranged from $51,000 - $155,000. Vacant parcels for sale range from $4,600 - $39,000 depending on size and location.

Silver Springs Shores - Heading out county Road 464, or Maricamp Road, you drive into the heart of Silver Springs Shores. This community of 11,715 homes is unincorporated but has a bustling community center and continues to grow. Lockheed Martin is a major employer in this area.
